I love helping people. I travel almost every day to senior care facilities outside of doing television work as well. A lot of times patients in senior care facilities, their family members don’t even come and see them. So I try to do my part and bring a little bit of joy, a little bit of happiness to them. To see them smile just warms my face and lets me know that I’m doing what I’m supposed to do.
I used to do billing in-house but I wanted to find a billing service that I thought was reputable and also to decrease my workload. NueMD has been great. The dialogue between myself and Cara and Katrell have been excellent. Also they have a great checks and balances system in place. I can go into NueMD any moment and find out how many claims I’ve transmitted that day, how many claims are pending.
Cara Buckhaulter: NueMD was able to offer Dr. Williamson complete transparency into the billing process. In a matter of seconds he can see that charge in NueMD and watch that charge turn into a claim. And see when it’s been submitted to the payer for reimbursement.
Dr. Williamson: And with NueMD and Practice Fusion working together, I do my chart note, I do my superbill and I send it immediately over to NueMD. It’s less paperwork on me I don’t have to print out a superbill and send it to someone in-house to do the billing. Everything is just there. It goes electronically so it’s just quick, fast, and in a hurry.
Cara Buckhaulter: There’s a biller on the NueMD side who’s also a certified coder that goes through his charges and reviews them. NueMD has it’s own clearinghouse so it eliminates the need for the middleman clearinghouse. We’re able to transmit his claims and immediately see the results whether the claims have been accepted or rejected and take immediate action.
Dr. Williamson: One thing that I really really like is the week-end report where I can look at the last seven days or the last five days and see what’s been transmitted over to the billing company. I didn’t have that when I was billing in-house. We couldn’t readily do it so it makes it so much easier now. When I contracted with NueMD I wanted to be able to see my patients and have comfort and ease in knowing that when I submit my billing summaries that everything was going to be taken care of. So I’m getting that so I’d highly recommend NueMD.
