ATLANTA – Nuesoft Technologies Inc. is offering a free monthly medical practice management podcast series featuring industry insiders discussing news, trends and best practices – from HIPAA compliance, benchmarking, correct coding, marketing and more. The new series is available now on the Nuesoft website.
“Our podcasts are an ideal way to hear healthcare experts share practical strategies for running a practice,” said Jennifer McDuffee, director of marketing and communications at Nuesoft Technologies. “Judging by the initial response, there is a big demand among small medical practices for this type of information.”
For a limited time, Nuesoft is offering pediatricians a sneak peek of its EMR Mythbusters Podcast, where two pediatricians discuss common myths and rumors surrounding electronic medical record (EMR) adoption. The Mythbusters podcast will be accessible to everyone else on May 3.
“Dr. Spooner and I wanted to give a talk about electronic medical records that was truly ‘meaningful,’” said Dr. Gregg Alexander, one of the Mythbusters podcast speakers. “The number of half-truths and flat out falsehoods about EMR adoption and use are still a barrier to physician/provider adoption and we felt we could help dispel some of the inaccuracies. We bring different experiences to bear: me, the small town, small private practice side; Andy, the larger center and CMIO experience. Regardless, the myths we address and the actualities we discuss are applicable for all sizes of practices and all levels of providers…and their staffs.”
Dr. Alexander is the active director for the American Academy of Pediatrics’ “Office of the Future” annual exhibit at AAP’s National Conference and Exhibition, and Dr. Andy Spooner is the Chief Medical Information Officer at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
