Pediatrics Office Destroyed by Fire Continues Its Operation with Assistance of NueMD, an Internet-based Physician Practice Management Software Application

JONESBORO, GA - The office of the Jonesboro Pediatric Clinic, a four-physician practice located in the Atlanta-area community of Jonesboro, Georgia, was tragically destroyed by fire during the evening hours of Friday, February 16.

The fire, caused by lightning strike, initiated a temporary but immediate re-location of the practice. Among a series of responses, Dara Treadwell, the clinic's office manager, phoned NueMD customer support staff for instruction on how to quickly re-establish their information system. Through the use of laptop computer hardware and NueMD, the practice was able to re-open the following Monday, February 19, with full access to its administrative records and without extraordinary disruption in its billing and insurance claim submission processes.

Ms. Treadwell states that, despite all of the difficulties associated with the terrible event, "at least our physician practice management system has not been a headache. We were very pleased that we had NueMD back up and running so fast. I'm confident that we would not have been able to restore our system nearly so easily under other circumstances."

Massoud Alibakhsh, President of Nuesoft Technologies, Inc., providers of NueMD, comments that "the unfortunate experience of the Jonesboro Pediatric Clinic illustrates one of the primary benefits of Application Service Provider (ASP) model systems - that of securing mission critical data on behalf of enterprises whose core expertise is not managing information technology. We look forward to continuing our association with the Clinic and assisting them with their recovery efforts."

NueMD is a true Internet-based physician practice management software application that provides a full-range of features including medical billing, appointment scheduling, patient record management, ticketing, insurance claims processing, reporting and analytical functionality. The system may be accessed via the Internet from anywhere at anytime, with individual physician practice data secured at remote locations designed specifically for their purpose. The system is available on a subscription fee payment basis, and requires only modest computer hardware and simple Internet connectivity to operate.
