Lacee: She goes through all of our patients for us quickly. I mean, we've probably had issues for the past three years. And she got done with them in three months.
Linda: Within two weeks we were receiving a lot more paid claims. And she's gone back and helped us recoup some of the money that we lost with the other billing company.
Tama: That first month, they received about a $12,000 check one day from Medicaid. It was all that back money that was just kind of sitting there. That's a substantial amount of money for a practice their size.
Linda: With Tama there are always notes in there that said the claims were rejected for this reason, this needs to be done to the claim to get it to pay. So it's now very easy for us to tell my patients why they have a balance. The old company never even contacted us when they had a problem. They just laid it aside and forgot about it.
Lacee: Whatever Tama puts on hold that we need to verify, I can just pull the patient chart, fix it right away. You can pull up the ticket numbers, see exactly what paid, what didn't pay. It's probably the easiest system I've worked with.
Tama: And let's say there's something else wrong. She can put her own message in there and send it back to me and go 'oh hey, I got new insurance. Patient didn't have it on this day. Re-bill it'. You know, I think that was just instrumental. We needed them to know all of the functionalities of the software, everything. That transparency thing.
Linda: We had a problem with our diagnosis codes being in the order that we wanted them in. And we would have to go in and change them by hand. Now then it's very simple. We do it as we're checking the patient in. When we close out the ticket it's done. It goes directly to them and it's billed instantly.
Tama: Now I think they're on a firm path. They know how to watch for things. They see their money. They have access to all of their A/R. The co-pay feature, they have access to that and entering co-pays. We just got a flow in place.
Linda: We're really happy with the way they caught things up. And it was a big job.
Lacee: She does everything! I tell you, everything is done now. She's so great!
